Nestled in the heart of Bellevue, Jayam's Tiffins and Thali is a haven for lovers of authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine. Whether you’re craving a hearty thali or innovative dosas, Jayam’s offers a rich tapestry of flavors that will captivate your taste buds and soothe your soul.
Their menu is a delightful celebration of regional specialties, with crowd favorites like the Mini-Meal Bisibellabath Variety rice—a comforting medley of curry, kootu, sweet, appalam, and pickle—perfect for those seeking a wholesome, satisfying meal. The Dosa Corner boasts classics such as the ever-loved Masala Dosa and Plain Dosa, alongside inventive varieties like the Guntur Kara Masala Dosai and the Cilantro Dosai, each bringing its own distinct spice profile and texture. For something unique, the Mushroom Biryani and the Young Jackfruit Biryani served on weekends are nothing short of extraordinary, lauded by regulars for their aromatic spices and impeccable seasoning.
Jayam's skillfully balances tradition with innovation, from the rustic charm of the Set Dosai Vadacurry combo to the more exotic Adai Avial and Kotthu Paratha options. No meal here is complete without their signature Kumbakonam Filter Coffee, a rich and robust brew that perfectly complements the subtle heat and zest of their dishes.
The dining ambiance mirrors the food—simple, unpretentious, and focused on comfort rather than extravagance. It’s a self-service setup that fosters a relaxed environment, allowing the quick and attentive service to shine through. Located conveniently next to the serene Hanuman Temple, the peaceful surroundings only add to the inviting charm of this culinary gem.
Regular diners praise Jayam’s for delivering fresh, authentic flavors reminiscent of homecooked meals—something that can be increasingly rare to find. The Jackfruit and Mushroom Biryani, in particular, receive glowing commendations for their perfect balance of spices and freshness. Even longtime skeptics have noted the care taken to improve sustainability with the switch from plastic to eco-friendly metallic serving dishes for hot curries, underscoring Jayam’s commitment not only to quality food but also to the well-being of their patrons.
In short, Jayam's Tiffins and Thali is not just a restaurant but an immersive experience into the heart of South Indian vegetarian culinary tradition. Its flavors are bold yet comforting, enticing yet familiar, making every visit feel like a warm return home—where the spices sing in harmony, the portions satisfy deeply, and the atmosphere invites you to linger a little longer over each bite.
Flavorful food, hearty portion size, quick service and plain ambience. This is a self service restaurant, the service was super quick. Medu vada was okay but the sambar and two chutneys- green and red were yum. Kottu veg parotta was decent, flavours and spices can be amped up! The lunch highlight was Jackfruit biryani!!! Simply delicious Mango lassi was good. The food was light on the palette which we ended with a filter kaapi. This is a vegetarian restaurant and loads to offer. Ample parking spots available, the area has lots of asian cuisine restaurants lined up. Would definitely like to revisit jayams for bisibele bhat and more of Jackfruit biryani! + Much More
If you want to enjoy “authentic” South Indian vegetarian food, this is the best restaurant to visit. Fresh food, nice ambience. The Jackfruit Briyani is outstanding. Mushroom Briyani was good too. Idli, Dosa, Vada, Poori all were excellent. Mango Lassi & filter coffee was awesome as well. For Poori the potato masala was less in quantity and taste was ok. But the sambhar, chutney were good. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommend this place.
I visited Jayam’s Tiffen and Thali on a weekday evening and had a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is located in a convenient and serene area, right next to the Hanuman Temple, which adds a peaceful and spiritual touch to the surroundings. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant space is quite large, offering plenty of seating and a clean, well-maintained dining area. The menu has a good variety of vegetarian options, making it easy to find something appealing whether you’re looking for a light snack or a full meal. I ordered the Vada Rasam, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The rasam was flavorful and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice and tanginess. The portion size was well worth the price, making it a great value for money. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff was polite and attentive. Despite being close to a popular temple and in a busy area, the restaurant maintained a calm and peaceful dining environment, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area and looking for a clean, affordable, and tasty vegetarian meal, Jayam’s Tiffen and Thali is definitely worth a visit. I look forward to returning and trying more items from their menu.
Loved the food at Jayam Tiffins! The South Indian thali tasted just like fresh authentic home food. Jackfruit biriyani and mushroom biriyani were delicious, and the filter coffee was excellent. At a time when many places have forgotten the real taste of freshness, Jayam Tiffins genuinely reminded me of authentic, fresh, home-cooked food. Highly recommended for anyone craving quality and tradition!
Businesses are busy with increasing their profits- least worried about their customers health and use plastic containers for hot food items. I raised this issue multiple times and when I went there I found that they fixed it. Now their hot curries comes in metallic bowls when we dine in A big Thank you
Consistently great tasting food that is soothing to the stomach. They live up to their name and serve thali even on weekdays for lunch+dinner which is impressive and is value for money! Also, bumped into the gentleman owner Mr. Srikumar today and requested him to keep continuing this great effort and service!
